Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, compliance, and accounting operations across multiple companies. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in providing financial insights, managing risk, supporting strategic decision-making, and leading a high-performing accounting team.
What You'll Do- Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Monitor banking relationships, covenant reporting, and key performance metrics.
- Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting systems and processes.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while supporting organizational growth.
What You'll Bring- CPA designation and a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Experience leading and developing accounting teams.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, including Great Plains and/or Microsoft Business Central.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Transportation industry experience and bilingualism (English/French) are assets.
