Key Job Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Lead support work for annual financial statement audit and support needs for tax advisors.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation. Oversee cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
- Monitor financial performance against budget/forecast and provide variance analysis.
- Manage cash flow forecasting. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Monitor credit risk, customer payment performance, and collections strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize ERP/system workflows relating to purchasing, inventory, and sales.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes.
- Lead improvements in reporting, data accuracy, and financial visibility across the organization.
- Supervise accounting team of 6 (AP, AR, Payroll, Billing and General Accountant).
- Provide financial insights to executive leadership for strategic decisions.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements and budgets.
- Proficiency in cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable, and payable processes.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in Controller or Senior Management role
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP standards.
- Expertise in month-end close processes and journal entries.
- Experience with internal controls and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Excellent leadership skills to manage and supervise accounting teams effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
- Ability to compile and analyze complex financial data accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- CPA designation strongly preferred
