Overview
Sedaro is hiring a Contracts Manager to lead the end-to-end management of contracts supporting modeling and simulation software R&D and customer implementations.
Team: Engineering, reporting to the Director of Programs
Location: In person in Arlington, VA

Sedaro is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and alignment with business objectives. This role will partner closely with engineering, program management, and leadership to support proposal development, contract negotiation, and execution across government and commercial customers. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- A detail-oriented professional with experience or strong interest in Aerospace & Defense contracting
- Knowledgeable in federal procurement processes (FAR/DFARS familiarity preferred)
- A strategic thinker who understands how contracts enable business growth and mitigate risk
- A clear communicator who can collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable taking ownership in a high-trust, high-accountability environment
- Enjoy drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract language and proposals
What You'll Do
- Support the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and customer requirements
- Partner with program managers and engineering teams to align contract scope, deliverables, and timelines
- Support proposal development, including review of RFPs, terms, and conditions
- Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and reporting
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks while enabling business objectives
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including government customers and subcontractors

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Government, Legal Studies, or related field
- 2-5+ years of experience in contracts management, preferably in government or defense sectors
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and federal contracting processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
