Contract Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Contracting support: This person will directly support the commander and the acquisition flight to acquire the most appropriate technology and support services to enable the team to meet its mission goals.
- This person will work at the customer site in Colorado Springs and work directly with the commander and his staff to develop RFI/RPP/RFP and create contracts for the command in coordination with the SSC and FAR guidance.
- This person will be integral with development and sustainment contracts as well as, incorporating change proposals into existing contract.
- Work with the acquisition flight and all other technical flights to ensure that procurements and contracts achieve the goal to manage the product development and sustainment efforts.
Work Environment:
- Location: When not supporting a site, this position can work remotely or from a nearby KBR office (if available and desired).
- Travel Requirements: This position will require travel of 25% with potential surge to 50% to support end users located at various DoD ranges & labs located across the US (including Alaska and Hawaii).

- Former DoD Warranted Contracting Officer
- Contract Management & Procurement
- RDT&E experience
- Project & Operations Management
- Contract knowledge and experience with FFP, IDIQs, T&M, CP, OTAs, BPAs, SAP
- Contract Negotiation & Drafting
- FAR, DFARS & AFFARS Regulations
- Team Development & Leadership
- Contractor Management
Basic Compensation: $114,000 - $171,000
(Specifically for Colorado Springs)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate27s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
