The Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) Product Line is a fast-paced agile group within the Countermeasure and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area. The selected candidate will serve as an individual contributor, as well as assist in leading a team of Contracts professionals and supporting a diverse portfolio of programs, some of which are classified at both SAP and TS levels. The position requires developing and maintaining professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers as well as leading complex contracting assignments.
ISS leverages EO/IR technology to advance aircraft, ground vehicle, and maritime protection by enhancing crew response time, survivability, and mission success. We are home to products and programs like the Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS), Rapid Optical Observation & Kill (ROOK), and are developing the next generation EO/IR sensor for Long Range Threat Warning. ISS customers are both direct to the Government and Prime Contractors with a mix of Development, Production and Sustainment type contracts.
Principal Contract Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Own the day-to-day contractual relationship with our customers.
- Keep and maintain official contractual records for all assigned proposals, contracts, and agreements.
- Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
- Apply extensive expertise, including full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Support complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related contracts experience or equivalent experience in DOD contracting.
- Strong team players who enjoy working with program management and other functional disciplines in a supportive and complementary manner.
- Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, leadership, customers, and suppliers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Computer skills to maintain contract records within our business systems as well as demonstrated research and presentation skills.
- Eligible for a US DoD SECRET level clearance as well as special access program clearances.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of, and experience with, FAR and DFAR and export regulations.
Preferred Skills and EducationPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with the large, complex RFPs and proposal development at BAE Systems.
- Experience managing various USG and prime contract customers.
- Holds an active DoD SECRET clearance and holds or is eligible for a Special Access Program clearance.
