Requisition Summary

The Materials Continuous Improvement and Systems Program Manager is an intricate part of the development, management and implementation of continuous improvement activities and strategic initiatives within Materials. This individual manages the Six Sigma program and acts as a primary point of contact for systems project management within the Materials Department.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Apply Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
  • Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful application of new methodologies to improve product and process quality.
  • Mentor Materials and Division belts and identify candidates for Six Sigma Training.
  • Help develop and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Transfer best practices, techniques, procedures and tools to peers and other process improvement teams.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvement plans.
  • Provide analysis and feedback to senior management on project activities, improvements, and savings.
  • Identify Materials systems issues. Define systems requirement specifications for modifications with the key business owners.
  • Manage the prioritization, quality, and implementation of any systems change to ensure minimal down time and impact to the business.
  • Document system processes from the user perspective to facilitate process training.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 5+ years of relavent professional experience
  • Basic statistical, process, and product knowledge
  • Proven project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Able to manage and resolve conflict
  • Black Belt Certification desired
  • Experience working with JDA Planning Software desired
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Able to drive change and improve existing processes and standards

Salary Range:

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $104,100 - $146,630 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
