Role Summary
The Continuous Improvement Supervisor is a cross-functional project manager and leads plant training and operational excellence initiatives. This hands-on role drives a culture of safe work, standardization, and continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing principles while partnering with safety, quality, engineering, operations, and corporate teams to deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
• Support new product introductions and process changes
• Coordinate cross-functional project execution
• Track progress, risks, and implementation success
Training & Development
• Develop and manage production training programs
• Monitor training completions, verify training effectiveness, and reinforce standard work
Continuous Improvement (Lean)
• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, standard work, FMEA, root cause problem solving)
• Identify process improvements using data and performance metrics
• Drive waste reduction, productivity, and quality improvements with an eye towards always improving the safe working environment.
• Facilitate cross-functional improvement efforts and sustain results
Performance & Leadership
• Develop and track performance KPIs
• Engage directly with operators and supervisors on the floor
• Promote a safe work environment via accountability, standardization, and continuous improvement culture
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, or related field)
• 3-7 years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process improvement tools
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
