Job Description:Continuous Improvement SpecialistHackettstown, NJAs the first line of technical leadership within the value stream, the Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for reducing unplanned line losses and providing technical continuity to enable consistent performance and delivery of value leadership savings.
What are we looking for?Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical), Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related technical/operational discipline (or equivalent practical manufacturing leadership experience) AND/OR
- 2-4+ years of operational, engineering, or continuous improvement experience in a high-speed manufacturing, packaging, or consumer packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) environment.
- Demonstrated track record of leading project management and continuous improvement initiatives, including scoping, milestone tracking, and delivering measurable operational results.
- Clear, proven ability to relate to, engage, and motivate people at all organizational levels-from frontline operational teams to plant leadership.
- Uncompromising commitment to safety and quality compliance, with foundational knowledge of industrial safety standards (LOTO, machine guarding) and food manufacturing standards (GMP, HACCP, GFSI).
- Active forklift certification with hands-on experience safely operating material handling equipment in high-volume environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing inbound receiving and outbound shipping operations within a fast-paced warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility.
Preferred
- 2-4 years experience within operations or CI leadership in food, confectionery, pet food, or beverage manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Formal TPM/MSE Pillar Leader training (e.g., FI or AM Pillar Lead certification).
- Proven capability to influence across functions without direct authority, partnering effectively with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Safety, and Central Engineering teams.
- Direct experience supporting Commissioning, Validation, and Startup (CVS) or early management processes for capital installations and line modifications.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and upskill frontline associates and shift technicians to build autonomous operating capability.
What will be your key responsibilities?- Lead line loss analysis and execute 90-day operational action plans that deliver measurable performance gains and elevate team capabilities.
- Lead the CI/Maintenance/Production Triad to turn technical breakdowns into long-term preventative solutions alongside engineering partners.
- Own and champion MSE/TPM pillars (AM, FI, FMOS) across the value stream to ensure repeatable operational excellence.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute cost-saving and continuous improvement projects to hit annual Value Leadership milestones.
- Facilitate seamless Commissioning, Validation, and Startup (CVS) for new equipment installations and line modifications.
- Advocate for associate safety, ergonomic standards, and uncompromising product quality.
- Directly manage and mentor Continuous Improvement Specialists, guiding their daily impact and career development.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
