We are looking for a driven Continuous Improvement Manager to lead process optimization initiatives across our overhaul operations, with a key focus on kitting and material flow processes. This role is primarily about driving operational excellence through Lean principles, data analysis, and systematic problem-solving, while applying these skills to elevate the efficiency and accuracy of our kitting operations. You will identify opportunities for improvement across the production floor, develop and implement sustainable solutions, and play a critical role in transforming our kitting processes to better support lean operations and on-time delivery.

What You Will Do

  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve quality and throughput
  • Conduct detailed value stream mapping, process audits, time studies, and root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement standard work, visual management systems, and error-proofing solutions across kitting and related operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality) to ensure process changes are practical and deliver measurable results
  • Design and develop kitting processes from the ground up, including parts grouping logic, sequencing, visual aids, packaging standards, and ergonomic workstation layouts
  • Analyze current kitting workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that reduce kit preparation time, minimize inventory discrepancies, and eliminate non-value-added activities
  • Create and maintain kitting documentation (standard operating procedures, visual work instructions, bill of materials for kits, and training materials)


Qualifications You Must Have

  • BS/BA degree
  • 8 years supply chain, logistics, and/or operational experience; or an advanced degree with 5 years of supply chain, logistics, and/or operational experience
  • Strong expertise in C.O.R.E. or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience leading complex projects, navigating adversity, and driving alignment in cross-functional environments
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, CORE Champion or similar
  • Demonstrated leadership of successful process improvement initiatives including process mapping and workflow design
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven capability to take initiative, provide direction, and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience in project management

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
