Position Summary:
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Consumer & Shopper Insights to support our Strategy & Intelligence team. This individual will lead shopper and commercial insights, translating shopper, retailer, syndicated, and internal data into actions that drive customer and category growth. Partners with Sales using NielsenIQ/Circana, retailer data, shopper research, and AI-enabled tools to inform customer planning, JBPs, assortment, merchandising, and activation across the U.S. and Latin America, while leading the Shopper Insights team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead shopper and commercial insights across key U.S. customers, translating shopper, category, retailer, and market data into growth opportunities.
- Partner with Sales and customer teams on customer planning, line reviews/JBPs, assortment, and fact-based selling stories.
- Leverage NielsenIQ, Circana, retailer POS, panel, and syndicated data to assess performance, distribution, velocity, assortment, pricing, promotion, shopper behavior, and competition.
- Design and lead shopper research on path-to-purchase, segmentation, decision drivers, purchase barriers, and retail activation.
- Use advanced analytics and AI tools to integrate data, automate recurring insights, identify opportunities, and strengthen storytelling.
- Lead and develop the Shopper Insights team and partner with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and other stakeholders to embed insights in commercial decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years of CPG/FMCG, retail, or related experience, including Shopper, Category, Commercial or Consumer Insights, or Sales Analytics.
- People-management experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders and retail customers, with strong presentation and storytelling skills.
- Advanced hands-on expertise with NielsenIQ and/or Circana POS/scan and shopper panel data.
- Strong shopper/category analytics and research skills; proficiency with generative AI, AI-enabled tools, Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI/Tableau preferred.
- Professional fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is required. Must be U.S.-based and able to travel periodically.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience supporting major U.S. retailers and retailer-specific data environments, food/beverage or other high-velocity CPG categories, and cross-market work across the U.S. and Latin America.
The base salary for this position is between $125,000 and $150,000 per year . Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
