SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES The Consumer Bank Ops Innovation Program Manager is responsible for all tasks and challenges encountered in the operation of their assigned position. This individual has the responsibility of leading strategy, execution, and oversight of innovation initiatives within branch locations.  This includes tasks assigned, project readiness, implementation, and engagement plan to support Consumer Bank KPI’s and Goals as well as the Company strategic priorities. This is a fast-moving position that requires strong leadership including cross-departmental partnerships, critical thinking, decision-making, prioritization, detail orientation and outstanding organization to meet aggressive timelines.  Must be adaptable to changing circumstances, possible travel and extended working hours.  These projects may be more technical in nature. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Ambassador of the SouthState Cultural Cornerstones and Core Values. • Cross Departmental Support by contributing to establishing and maintaining a unified team. • Extensive, in depth understanding of Consumer Bank operations, including bank policies and procedures, government regulations and all service and operational standards and their impact on the financial and risk performance of SouthState Bank. • Ensure policies, procedures, and processes are highly customer centric in thought and delivery. Work to remove obstacles that prevent bankers from creating Meaningful and Lasting Relationships and/or hinder their sales process/opportunities. • Develop and manage a Branch Growth/Innovation Management Program: Oversees and coordinates all aspect of branch opening, closing relocations, LPOs and Operation movements that involve other Line of Businesses by supporting efficient collaboration and alignment with company standards under the OCC Regulations and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) guidelines, where all tasks are completed efficiently.  • Work with the Line of Businesses to Identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practice to enhance branch operations and customer experience, this could include designing, pilot, and implement the process improvement. • Technology Liaison is responsible for managing process improvement with this Line of Business and Technology.  When a project or process improvement involves Technology , this role collaborates with the business unit to update related tasks and ensure the appropriate stakeholders are involved.  • Banking Hours Coordinator- responsible for any projects related to changing hours across our footprint to ensure consistency and that all business lines are aware and tasks are assigned as appropriate, and communication takes place. • Ensure that updates to the OCC Regulatory Branch master are made in tandem with the FFIEC Branch list under the SouthState Bank, N.A. entry, reflecting all necessary information for conversions, openings, and closings, and verifying that the data is complete and accurate. • Merger, Acquisition and Conversion Project Manager and Conversion Support, clear and concise communication with update related as assigned. • Application Release Project Manager – manages application releases for all systems that flow through Consumer Bank (BPM, iTeller, Premier Core, TRISM, CIF Cleanup etc.), coordinates testing for Consumer Bank, and informs procedure owners of required updates. • Disaster and Recovery Project Manager – manages the annual disaster recovery test for Consumer Bank along with Technology. • Process Improvement Support- serves as coordinator or analyst as needed during any process improvement effort or requirement as needed or required. • Incident Management – ensures that incidents are addressed promptly and efficiently, including communications with other Line of Businesses.  • Branch Support and Research Requests - related to the department email coverage/research, which would include, in short, branch cash counters and coin machines, branch equipment, access needs, Technology needs for escalation and others requests as deemed necessary. • Vendor Management – oversees vendor relations, contracts, billing for TCR/TCDs, coin machines, cash counters, IT licensing, ID Guide, and Benchmark.  • Invoice Oversight – ensures invoices are entered and paid within established timelines and with accuracy. • Annual Equipment Budget Management – covering  TCR/TCD units, coin machines, and cash counters, branch equipment, new purchases, and service agreements.  This would include any new administration of mergers/acquisitions. • System Access Owner – oversees access for all Consumer Bank Operations owned applications (iTeller, BPM, Terafina, FIS eFunds, etc.) and ensures that application owners complete access reviews on schedule. COMPETENCIES • Demonstrated Leadership Skills • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills • Ability to make sound informed decisions • Effective time management skills • Ability to build positive relationships and partnerships throughout the bank • A solid understanding of Consumer Bank processes, internal control, and risk controls • Professionalism in dealing with co-workers as well as upper management as required • Lead change management to support the adoption of new technologies and processes. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and reprioritize on short notice • Effective problem-solving skills Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or 15+ years applicable experience   • Experience: 15+ years in front line banking experience, bank operations experience, Teller and New Accounts processes, or a combination thereof required.Experience with technology adoption, process improvement, and customer experience initiatives. Management Skills and experience preferred Indirect Leadership skills required, 5+ years Project Management experience preferred. • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook as a minimum TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Required annual compliance training; stay familiar with NEO (New Employee Orientation and Annual Banker Foundations for Teller & FSR. To ensure continued success in this role, the Consumer Bank Ops Innovation Program Manager is expected to stay current with emerging technologies, enhancing leadership capabilities, and maintaining up-to-date project management skills. Recommended platforms may include internal training resources, external certifications, and tools such as Workday Learning, as applicable. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents and reports. This position requires a long period of time in front of a computer.  This can be done sitting or standing as needed.  This position may require bending and reaching. WORK ENVIRONMENT Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred.  Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Travel may be required, as needed.
