The Consulting Partner role involves leveraging regulatory technical expertise and financial services industry experience to become a trusted advisor to clients. This position requires leading the development of innovative solutions, managing multidisciplinary teams, and driving business growth through effective client relationships and strategic initiatives. Candidates should have extensive professional experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality managed services.

Responsibilities:
  • This leader will help lead and expand the Strategic Finance and FP&A practice, driving strategic growth, service and technology innovation, and operational excellence.
  • This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and Board-level clients, delivering critical insights that shape strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and financial performance improvement.
  • The Owner will ensure the practice continues its rapid growth trajectory, maintains high-quality delivery, and capitalizes on cross-functional opportunities across the firm.


Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for Strategic Finance and FP&A, including transaction modeling, M&A support, post-close services, KPI dashboard development, and FP&A function builds.
  • Scale leadership bandwidth to support continued growth and accelerate the hiring of directors and managers.
  • Maintain and enhance high-quality delivery standards for C-level clients.
  • Expand the practice's presence with private equity and public company clients.
  • Collaborate with other RSM service lines to expand cross-functional opportunities.
  • Integrate into RSM's M&A infrastructure, supporting co-sourcing and joint business development.


Client Engagement:
  • Engage directly with client C-suites and Boards, providing insights that drive enterprise-wide service opportunities.
  • Lead complex engagements, including equity/debt raises, M&A (buy/sell-side), IPOs, and capital markets readiness.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting revenue growth and long-term retention.


Practice Management & Growth:
  • Unlock revenue demand by expanding capacity to take on new, high-value clients.
  • Drive operational scale and efficiency, protecting and expanding margins.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing, diverse team across multiple geographies.


Talent Development:
  • Foster a high-performing culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and collaboration across geographies.
  • Expand the depth of the global talent pool


Success Measures:
  • Revenue Impact: Achieve $5M in net-new revenue within the first 12 months.
  • Practice Integration: Demonstrate integration into RSM's M&A infrastructure and expansion of services with Financial Consulting and across other RSM lines of service.
  • Team Development: Accelerate hiring and development of directors and managers to meet client demand.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain high-quality delivery and improve efficiency at scale


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in FP&A, valuation, M&A (buy/sell-side), and investment banking.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements and drive profitable business growth.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience leading global teams and infrastructure integration (preferred).
