Full Job Description
Title: Consulting Manager (w/ Healthcare - Payer exp.)

(Healthcare Global Consulting Practice)

Level: Manager/ Location: Teaneck, New Jersey

Purpose

The Vendor shall provide personnel possessing the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to successfully perform the services described below. The Vendor is responsible for ensuring that assigned resources have the appropriate qualifications.

Required Responsibilities, Services & Skills

Resources assigned to the engagement should demonstrate proficiency, as applicable to their assigned role, in the following areas:
• Participates in developing and/or modifying requirements, business design specifications, user training and documentation
• Tests and documents solutions
• Serves as liaison between users of the software and technical staff
• Conducts assessments of current processes, reports and procedures
• Collects data and performs quantitative analysis to substantiate assumptions
• Performs any necessary ad hoc reporting
• Measures outcomes of quality improvements using metrics and benchmarking criteria
• Health care claims experience that includes work flow design, data analysis, and/or systems automation and testing
• Perform any necessary configuration changes supporting claim hold
• Generate or gather needed test data
• Performs necessary validation in test and production environments according to business requirements
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Written and verbal communication skills are sufficient to interact effectively with business and technical stakeholders
• Collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

Role-Based Competencies

The Vendor shall identify the specific skills, certifications, experience levels, and responsibilities associated with each proposed resource. At a minimum, the Vendor should describe:
• Preferred experience in claims, provider, and pricing services
• Preferred Safe Agile certifications or 3+ years of experience as Product Owner
• Preferred experience in Fusion and/or Streamline
• Experience in QTest, JIRA
• Experience in mainframe and PEGA systems
• Experience supporting comparable projects or organizations

Resource Qualifications

Vendor personnel shall possess qualifications commensurate with the complexity of the work being performed. The Customer reserves the right to review proposed resource qualifications and request replacement of personnel who do not meet the agreed-upon skill requirements or whose performance does not satisfy the expectations of the engagement.

Knowledge Transfer and Continuity

The Vendor shall maintain appropriate documentation and knowledge transfer practices to ensure continuity of services and minimize disruption resulting from personnel changes. Replacement resources shall possess qualifications substantially equivalent to those of the individual being replaced.

Ongoing Skill Maintenance

The Vendor is responsible for maintaining the professional competency of assigned personnel throughout the engagement and ensuring that resources remain current with technologies, industry practices, and regulatory requirements applicable to the services provided.

*Travel: willingness to travel extensively as client needs require.

Required Education & Work Authorization:

Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or master's strongly preferred.

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary & Compensation:

Salary: Applications will be accepted until August 25 th , 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $81,450.00 - $129,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Incentives: Eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, subject to applicable plan terms.
