Job Description:

We seek a mid-to-senior level Professional Services Consultant to join the Certent Equity Management Professional Services team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized expertise in managing complex, project-based equity data work. You will partner with clients on critical equity transactions, lead data reconciliation efforts, and drive continuous process improvement through documentation and automation. Reporting to the Professional Services Manager, you will work remotely and have the flexibility to impact both tactical delivery and strategic product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute complex equity data projects including M&A corporate actions, stock splits, vesting accelerations, and cancellations of options and restricted awards
  • Perform comprehensive data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems and data sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Design, document, and improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Develop and maintain automation templates, scripts, and tools using VBA, SQL, and Python to streamline recurring tasks
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to clients on equity plan compliance, controls, and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management to identify opportunities for product enhancements and template optimization
  • Embrace and leverage AI tools and innovations to enhance data analysis, automation, and decision-making capabilities in equity management work
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex equity compensation projects or equity plan administration
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula development, data analysis, and pivot tables
  • Strong working knowledge of VBA for Excel automation and process efficiency
  • Proficiency with SQL for database querying and data manipulation
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting language for automation and data processing
  • Demonstrated expertise with equity compensation software platforms (Certent Equity Management, E*TRADE Global EQ, Shareworks, or equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of equity compensation concepts including ISOs, RSUs, ASC 718, IFRS 2, and equity plan compliance frameworks
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean methodology or continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with insightsoftware products or solutions
  • Background in project management or vendor relationship management
  • Public speaking or client presentation experience


The salary range in United States of America for this position is 88,000.00 to 111,000.00 USD Annual.

For sales roles, this range includes the commission target. For non-sales roles, this is a base salary only range; additional bonus eligibility may apply.
