You Are

Accenture is seeking a Consultant or Manager to join our US Downstream, Mobility & Convenience Retail practice. This role is designed for professionals with experience in fuels retail, convenience retail, mobility, downstream energy, or related industries who are passionate about helping clients improve performance, enhance customer experiences, and accelerate business transformation.

You will work closely with client teams and Accenture practitioners to analyze business challenges, develop recommendations, support transformation initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role provides an opportunity to apply industry knowledge across customer engagement, loyalty, retail operations, marketing, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.

This position requires strong analytical capabilities, industry knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across Accenture's Strategy & Consulting, Song, Technology, Data & AI, and Operations practices.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Industry Advisory
  • Support clients in addressing business challenges across fuels, convenience retail, mobility, and downstream operations.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and assessments of customer experience, retail operations, loyalty programs, and business performance.
  • Develop presentations, business cases, process documentation, and recommendations to support client decision-making.
  • Contribute to workshops, stakeholder meetings, and transformation initiatives.


Business Transformation & Solution Development
  • Support the design and implementation of business and technology transformation programs.
  • Assist clients in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer engagement, loyalty effectiveness, and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop practical solutions and implementation plans.
  • Support change management, process improvement, and business readiness activities.


Industry Knowledge & Innovation
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging topics impacting fuels and convenience retail, including digital commerce, loyalty, mobility, AI, and customer experience.
  • Contribute to industry research, thought leadership, and client deliverables.
  • Support development of reusable assets, methodologies, and industry-specific capabilities.


Required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for a Consultant level role; and a minimum of 5 years of experience is required for a Manager level role--within fuels retail, convenience retail, downstream energy, mobility, retail operations, or related industries.
  • Understanding of North American fuels and convenience retail markets.
  • Experience supporting initiatives related to customer loyalty, customer engagement, retail operations, marketing, merchandising, or digital transformation.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and digital solutions to accelerate analysis, develop insights, enhance deliverable quality, and improve team productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting business analysis, and developing recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.


Preferred
  • Experience working for a fuel retailer, convenience retailer, travel center operator, branded marketer, wholesaler, or consulting organization.
  • Familiarity with loyalty platforms, POS systems, retail operations, merchandising, or customer engagement technologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise transformation programs, process improvement initiatives, or technology implementations.
  • Experience with business process mapping, project management, or change management.
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and apply emerging technologies, including generative AI, to solve client business challenges and drive innovation.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, reporting, or AI-enabled solutions.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree.
