What You'll Do

As a Tax Consultant II, focused on project management, you will support project teams in planning and executing technology and transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for assigned activities and deliverables, track progress, identify issues, and escalate risks when appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Support planning and execution of tax technology and transformation workstreams.
  • Track assigned tasks, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to support on-time execution.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, meeting preparation, and project coordination.
  • Maintain project plans, action logs, status trackers, and other delivery documentation.
  • Coordinate inputs across business, technology, and project stakeholders.
  • Capture meeting notes, decisions, action items, and follow-up responsibilities.
  • Identify, document, and escalate risks, issues, and delivery obstacles as needed.
  • Prepare status updates, dashboards, presentations, and leadership-ready project materials.

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation Office (TTO) drives innovation across enterprise technology, tools, and processes to deliver high-value tax services. The team features backgrounds in tax, technology, change management, and project management, promoting diverse perspectives in process, tool development, and client engagement.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in project coordination, technology delivery, business analysis or a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technology, business transformation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to prepare clear project documentation, status updates, and presentation materials.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
    • If not CPA eligible:
      • Licensed Attorney
      • Enrolled Agent
      • Project Management Professional (PMP)
      • Program Management Professional (PgMP)
      • Certified Scrum Product Owner (PSCPO)
Preferred:
  • Knowledge on Angular, Mongo DB, NPM and Azure Devops Build/Release configuration.
  • Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; exposure to project management software such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
  • Skill for writing reusable libraries.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $74,925 to $153,000.
