What You'll Do
Consultants play an integral role within our project teams. Consultants are responsible for structuring and executing analyses that support project objectives and are typically assigned to one or two project teams simultaneously. As a Consultant at Ducker Carlisle, your work will be rigorous, but its impact will be evident. You will have exposure to client facing opportunities. We are seeking a Consultant or Junior Consultant to support client engagements across supply chain operations, with a focus on inventory optimization, procurement, and operational improvement. This role is ideal for a highly analytical consultant who can work with large datasets, structure analyses, build client-ready deliverables, and support recommendations under the direction of a Manager or senior project lead.
This role can be based out of Boston, MA or Troy, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, diagnose root causes, uncover insights, and support recommendations for clients
- Build data models and conduct quantitative analyses to evaluate inventory, procurement, cost, service, and operational performance questions
- Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and other analytical outputs to communicate findings and support decision-making
- Translate analysis into clear insights, implications, and recommended actions
- Draft client presentations and other project deliverables
- Present findings to clients and to senior consulting staff
- Manage assigned workstreams, including analysis planning, progress tracking, quality control, and timely completion of deliverables
- Collaborate with project teams in a fast-paced consulting environment
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree from a top tier university with a strong academic record
- 2-3 years of consulting or relevant industry experience
- Supply chain experience required; Hands on experience with inventory planning, warehouse management, transportation planning systems or network modeling tools preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience working with large datasets, data modeling, and data visualization
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or other statistical tools is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex analysis clearly and professionally
- High attention to detail and ability to produce client-ready work
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a project-based environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements
Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,00 annually. Exact compensation is determined based upon qualifications, experience, and location. Consultants are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.
Please Note: We encourage all our staff to work from a Ducker Carlisle office as often as is feasible; our hybrid work schedule suggests that most local team members work in the office 3-4 days per week when they are not traveling to clients.
