RequirementsPosition Overview: The Construction Superintendent will directly oversee daily field operations at the BTA site, ensuring workers have the resources, job clarity, and accountability needed to keep projects safe, on schedule, and built to a high standard of quality. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing multiple trades and multiple projects concentrated on a single site.
Outline of Duties: - Directs daily field operations at the BTA site to ensure workers have resources, job clarity, and are held accountable.
- Has hands-on experience, willing to challenge, encourage, and mentor fellow workers to build their skills and accountability.
- Provides leadership across multiple trades and multiple projects at once.
- Projects need to shift efficiently based upon weather and priority yet stay on schedule once priority has been decided.
- Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of assigned projects, and monitors budget throughout.
- Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, delivering clear instructions and assignments.
- Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; has an eye for quality and makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
- Procure materials and equipment proactively to ensure projects are not slowed down.
- Interviews and hires site workers; approves timecards and time-off requests; prepares work schedules and assignments.
- Communicates and enforces safety procedures and site rules; addresses safety violations and other deficiencies.
- Collaborates with engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure specifications and regulations are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with excavation, trenching, concrete, post-frame construction, electric, and plumbing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Leadership experience managing multiple trades and multiple projects simultaneously; at least 4 years of hands-on experience in the building trades preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other simple database software to organize and communicate project plans.
BenefitsBenefits: This is a salary exempt, mid-level position with an annual salary range of $75,000-$100,000, based on experience. Day shift, Monday to Friday, with weekends and additional hours as needed based on project priority and weather.
Full-time position with benefits after 90 days. Benefits include but are not limited to: Health, Dental, Vision, Accident, Critical Illness, Life, Disability, and 401k. Paid time off in accordance with the Company's Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
