Full Job Description
O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support our building and heavy civil operations throughout the state.

This leadership role is responsible for advancing and maintaining a strong safety culture across a diverse portfolio of projects, including transportation infrastructure, commercial construction, educational facilities, public works, and other complex building and heavy civil projects. The successful candidate will partner with project teams, field leadership, and executive management to proactively identify risks, implement effective safety solutions, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications:

  • Construction safety experience required, preferably within building, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Proficiency with safety management software, claims reporting systems, and mobile inspection platforms
  • ASP, CSP, CHST, or other relevant safety certifications preferred

Work Environment and Travel:

This position supports projects located throughout Connecticut. Travel within the state is required, with occasional early morning, evening, or night work necessary to support project operations.
