Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 and 510 certifications required.
  • Experience with steel/structure and heavy mechanical systems.
  • BCSP Certification (any type) preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret EH&S policy and contract specifications for safety implementation.
  • Review Pre-Task Plans for all trades present on site during huddles.
  • Lead orientation sessions for new workers regarding safety practices.
  • Conduct necessary audits to meet code requirements and provide safety metrics.
  • Attend weekly meetings to discuss upcoming work and high-risk activities.
  • Facilitate safety discussions in Pre-Construction Meetings for trade packages.
  • Evaluate submissions for Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date postings on the job site for safety information.
  • Collaborate with teams to create risk mitigation strategies.
  • Perform additional safety management tasks as needed.

Location: Mason, OH.

Job Description:

This Safety Manager will effectively be an extension of the CM project team, and will oversee all safety management practices on the project. Safety manager will report findings, non-conformance, and recommendations to the CM.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand EH&S Policy, and Contract Drawing / Specs for safety applicability.
  • Pre-Task Plan huddle; review Pre-Task Plan boards of all other trades onsite for.
  • Lead New Worker Orientation.
  • Perform relevant audits required by code or policy, or provide valuable safety metrics.
  • Participate in the weekly meetings, providing general safety review of upcoming work, paying special attention to High-Risk activities.
  • Facilitate safety portion of Pre-Construction Meetings for all trade packages, as scheduled by CM, to clearly define expectations for their safety performance.
  • Review Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) submissions.
  • Ensure jobsite postings are kept up-to-date.
  • Cross-Collaborate to develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Any other full-time safety management tasks as required by the Superintendent.


Qualifications:

  • Proven Field Heavy Commercial to Industrial Experience.
  • OSHA 30,510.
  • Steel/Structure, heavy mechanical systems experience required.
  • BCSP Certification (of some type) PREFERRED, not necessary.
