Construction Project Manager position in Oak Ridge, TN.

Job Description:

The Construction Project Manager oversees industrial construction projects from initial concept through completion. This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, client communication, and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct all phases of industrial construction projects, including pre-construction, design coordination, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop, track, and manage project budgets; ensure financial performance aligns with company targets.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules; coordinate sequencing with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Negotiate, award, and manage subcontractor and vendor contracts; ensure compliance with scope and specifications.
  • Oversee daily field operations, enforce safety protocols, and resolve site issues to maintain productivity.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and internal leadership.
  • Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead commissioning, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final financial reconciliation.


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Industrial Construction Experience with proven success managing projects.
  • Project Management Expertise including budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Strong understanding of industrial facilities, such as manufacturing, utilities, energy, chemical, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
