Responsibilities

About the position...

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of commercial and residential construction projects for the company. This role will be coordinating with subcontractors, internal team members, ownership, other key stakeholders, and serves as the direct point of contact to ensure jobs are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through construction and turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, distributing them to stakeholders and adjusting as needed to meet key milestones.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, Estimators, Suppliers, and Contractors to ensure smooth logistical flow of materials and services.
  • Schedule and attend regular site visits to ensure safety, scope, and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate with permitting officials to ensure all requirements are met and inspections are completed.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of project metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Review plans and project documentation to understand requirements, identify inconsistencies, and recommend solutions.
  • Manage change orders, coordinating between contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Close out projects, including final budget reconciliation, client signoff, and administrative closure.
  • Host field meetings with ownership, management, and project teams to review progress and address issues.
  • Conduct post-project analysis to identify successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize project costs and profitability.
  • Collaborate with estimators, designers, and other support staff to develop accurate project budgets and estimates.


Requirements

What we are looking for from you...
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • 3+ years' experience in construction project management experience in commercial and/or residential/multi-family
  • A strong understanding of modern construction methods and means is required
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
  • The ability to read and interpret construction plans is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, or related field is highly preferred
  • PMP certification or equivalent with a focus on construction project management and project accounting is preferred but not required
  • Experience with construction management, estimating, and takeoff software is preferred - Bluebeam and Sage is a plus
  • Safety Oriented - OSHA Certification is highly preferred but not required
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
