Responsibilities

  • Review cash flow, schedules, and project expenditures
  • Generate budget and cost reports for project stakeholders
  • Coordinate with project managers, schedulers, and PMO teams
  • Maintain accurate project controls and financial records

Full Job Description
We are looking for a Project Controls Specialist III (Cost Analyst) to support a major capital improvement program at Los Angeles Mission College. This role focuses on project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, reporting, change management, and financial coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Hybrid Schedule: One (1) work-from-home (WFH) day per week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and monthly reconciliations
  • Support Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews and financial reporting
  • Analyze project cost performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with change orders, contract amendments, and budget adjustments
  • Review cash flow, schedules, and project expenditures
  • Generate budget and cost reports for project stakeholders
  • Coordinate with project managers, schedulers, and PMO teams
  • Maintain accurate project controls and financial records

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, or construction program controls
  • Experience supporting projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of cost management, forecasting, earned value, and change management
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • Public sector or educational facility experience is a plus
