Full Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager focused on subcontractor oversight for federal facility recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii. Following damage assessments, field work may include emergency roof and envelope repairs, interior drying, debris clearance, and restoration of facilities and utilities. You will coordinate approximately five to ten field personnel and subcontractor resources, confirm that work is ready to proceed, and resolve day to day site constraints. Your leadership will help crews work safely and efficiently across active locations while producing clear records of progress, quality, and changing conditions.
This role will require an onsite presence in Kauai, Hawaii and is eligible for per diem related expenses when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day to day subcontractor activities for facility, envelope, utility, and related repair scopes.
• Coordinate the work of approximately five to ten field personnel and subcontractor resources, adjusting assignments as project needs change.
• Confirm field work aligns with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Review daily reports, progress quantities, submittals, requests for information, and potential changes.
• Coordinate site access, material deliveries, inspections, and work sequencing with project teams.
• Identify field constraints early and escalate schedule, safety, cost, and quality issues with recommended solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field and 8+ years of construction management and subcontractor oversight for facility or infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
• 16+ years of construction management and subcontractor oversight for facility or infrastructure projects.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors on federal facilities or active operational sites.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
