Full Job Description
MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager in the Houston, TX region to support our fast-growing Data division.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Oversee and direct construction of projects through completion.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Team, Operations Manager, Deployment Team, Subcontractors, Engineering Team, Logistics Team, clients and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • In-depth review of projects to schedule and coordinate deliverables.
  • Ensure monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct the Deployment Team, consisting of both internal labor and subcontractor resources.
  • Ensure team has proper tools, materials and equipment for successful project delivery and support inventory management.
  • Ensure achievement of contractual construction commitments.
  • Daily review of construction progress.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Planning to anticipate and mitigate problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Support obtaining any required permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Proven working experience in construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules regulations and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field preferred, not required.
