Construction Manager - Interior & Fit-Out
Location: Project-Based
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel: Site Based in Hubbard, TX OR up to 75% Travel Required

Position Overview
As a Construction Manager - Interior & Fit-Out, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of interior construction and architectural fit-out scopes supporting large-scale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will oversee subcontractor performance, workforce planning, quality control, schedule execution, occupancy readiness, and customer turnover activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. This role requires extensive knowledge of interior construction practices, architectural systems, project sequencing, and project closeout processes. You will work closely with project management, field operations, quality teams, commissioning personnel, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful project completion and turnover. Success requires strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills combined with a commitment to safety, quality, schedule performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead field execution of interior construction and architectural fit-out activities across mission-critical and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field supervision, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Support constructability reviews, procurement coordination, logistics planning, and project execution strategies.
  • Identify project risks, field conflicts, schedule impacts, quality concerns, and turnover challenges while developing practical solutions.
  • Ensure interior and fit-out construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

What You'll Do
  • Manage interior and fit-out construction activities supporting hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure developments.
  • Coordinate drywall, framing, ceilings, flooring, doors, hardware, paint, specialties, architectural finishes, and interior support spaces.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, quality, commissioning, scheduling, project controls, and operations teams throughout project delivery.
  • Lead inspections, punch list activities, turnover readiness reviews, and customer acceptance planning efforts.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, safety performance, quality metrics, and stakeholder commitments to support successful project outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders while serving as a trusted construction leader through project closeout.

What It Takes
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline and 5+ years of interior construction, fit-out, field management, or construction leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading interior fit-out, architectural finishes, commercial construction, mission-critical, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring systems, doors and hardware, paint, specialties, and architectural finish systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, craft labor, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, quality control, punch list management, turnover planning, and occupancy readiness activities.
  • Experience supporting constructability reviews, procurement planning, logistics coordination, and project execution strategies.
  • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Mission-critical, data center, healthcare, industrial, or commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% and support onsite project assignments as required.
