Overview

Manages large or technically complex electrical projects-such as multi-mile transmission line builds, major substation expansions, or underground duct bank systems. Provides leadership to project teams and acts as the client's primary field representative.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full project lifecycle including pre-construction, mobilization, construction, testing, and energization.
  • Manage multiple contractors, budgets exceeding $10M+, and tight outage windows.
  • Develop and maintain critical-path schedules and detailed look-ahead plans.
  • Negotiate and manage large-scale change orders and subcontractor performance.
  • Lead safety and quality audits and ensure compliance with NERC/FERC, OSHA, and utility standards.
  • Coordinate engineering revisions, constructability reviews, and final turnover packages.
  • Mentor junior construction managers and field inspectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with extensive experience managing large-scale utility or power infrastructure construction projects from pre-construction through energization.
  • Proven experience managing multiple contractors, project budgets exceeding $10M, critical-path schedules, outage coordination, and large-scale change orders.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality assurance, NERC/FERC, OSHA, and utility standards, with experience leading audits and ensuring compliance.
  • Experience coordinating engineering revisions, constructability reviews, project turnover documentation, and mentoring construction managers and field inspectors.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $141,648.00 - USD $156,000.00 /Yr.
