Full Job Description
Responsibilities

We're looking for a construction inspector with transportation industry experience. This position will support WMATA within the Washington, DC Metro area and is ideal for someone with previous or current WMATA experience or similar experience with a major transportation authority.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform construction inspection work related to civil, electrical/communications, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting to ensure compliance with plans and specifications;
• Ensure work is in compliance with approved plans and specifications of each project along with approved means, methods, and procedures; and
• Receive assignments from and report to the MATOC Program Manager, WMATA Task Manager, or designated representative.

Qualifications
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as civil, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting inspector;
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting multiple tasks;
• Practical knowledge of engineering and construction practices and disciplines, as well as of the codes and regulations relating to different technical areas of construction; and
• Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course.

WMATA Experience Preferred.

Hourly Salary Range: $37-$46
