Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, develop, and revise contracts
  • Review project procurement documents and assist with legal review
  • Assist in contract negotiations with owner and subcontractors
  • Prepare and maintain corporate records and documents
  • Coordinate insurance documentation and bond requirements
  • Assist with debt collection and enforcement activities, including demands, claims, notices, and litigation
  • Assist with preparation and filing of legal documents
  • Assist with all aspects of claims management: submission, incident investigation, review of records, and closure
  • Act as the liaison with all insurance companies, legal counsel, staff, claimants, and other involved parties

Experience & Education
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a construction-related industry, or civil paralegal work
  • Experience in construction law preferred
  • Experience with AIA documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of contract language and terminology
  • Demonstrated capability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
  • Working knowledge of claims processes including worker's compensation, general liability, and auto preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
