Salary: $80K to $90KConstruction Compliance Manager - UK HealthCareJob SummaryThe Construction Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring all healthcare construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects comply with applicable federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, codes, standards, and policies. This role serves as the compliance subject matter expert throughout project planning, execution, and closeout, partnering with internal stakeholders, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies to maintain a safe and compliant healthcare environment.
The Construction Compliance Manager oversees compliance activities related to life safety, infection prevention, Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), Interim Infection Prevention Measures (IIPM), environmental regulations, permitting, accreditation requirements, and healthcare-specific construction standards.
Responsibilities:
Monitor construction and renovation projects to ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations, building codes, and organizational standards.
Interpret and apply applicable requirements from: Joint Commission Standards, NFPA Codes and Standards, OSHA Regulations, State Department of Health requirements, Local building and fire codes.
Ensure proper permitting, inspections, certifications, and documentation are completed throughout project lifecycles.
Conduct construction compliance audits and site inspections.
Lead Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) assessments and implementation.
Coordinate Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) for construction and renovation activities.
Review contractor compliance programs, safety plans, and project documentation.
Verify contractor adherence to safety requirements, credentialing standards, and facility policies.
Conduct contractor orientation and compliance training as required.
Collaborate with project managers and vendors to resolve compliance deficiencies.
Maintain compliance records, permits, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
Prepare reports for leadership, accreditation surveys, and regulatory reviews.
Track corrective actions and verify completion within required timelines.
Support project closeout documentation and turnover processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Occupational Safety, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
5+ years of construction management, facilities management, compliance, regulatory, or healthcare construction experience.
Experience managing healthcare renovation and capital projects in active hospital environments.
Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards.
Healthcare construction regulations and compliance requirements.
Building life safety systems.
Infection prevention practices during construction.
Construction permitting and inspection processes.
Risk management and quality assurance methodologies.
Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
CHC (Certified Healthcare Constructor)
CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager)
CHSP (Certified Healthcare Safety Professional)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
OSHA 30 Certification
Experience working within acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, or large healthcare systems.
