Project Overview:

Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Job Summary:

The Construction Automation Specialist supports the day-to-day operation, setup, and maintenance of Construction Automation systems on an assigned construction project. This role provides hands-on support for digital tools, workflows, and field-related technology used by construction, project controls, ES&H, commissioning, and other project teams.

Working under the direction of the Construction Automation Lead, the Construction Automation Specialist focuses on system setup, user support, troubleshooting, and maintaining reliable Construction Automation operations in an active construction environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Construction Automation systems and tools in the field
  • Assist with system setup, configuration, and basic administration, including reports, user access, and security roles
  • Monitor system usage and data quality and address routine issues impacting daily operations
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of software issues and escalate complex issues to the Construction Automation Lead
  • Provide day-to-day user support, including onboarding, basic training, and issue resolution for project teams and contractors
  • Work directly with field personnel to resolve issues and ensure effective use of Construction Automation tools
  • Follow approved Construction Automation standards, configurations, and procedures
  • Document common issues, resolutions, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline and 8 - 10 years of relevant experience preferred [OR] 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree and 3+ years of experience supporting construction technology, digital systems, or site-based IT/automation environments.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with construction or field technology platforms, including document management systems, reporting tools, mobile applications, or similar systems.
  • Comfortable working in an active construction or industrial site environment.
  • Basic understanding of construction functions, disciplines, and workflows across capital projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine system, application, and device issues in a field environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with field personnel, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in clear, practical terms to end users.
  • Experience supporting drone-based data capture and processing workflows (e.g., Propeller, DroneDeploy).
  • Hands-on experience with low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate) supporting field or operational use cases.
  • Familiarity with construction/project platforms such as TEAMWorks, SetRoute, Smart Completions, Procore, or similar systems.
  • Experience managing user access, security roles, and basic configuration in construction or enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting reporting, data validation, or basic analytics tied to construction workflows.
  • Prior experience on construction or industrial project sites (semiconductor, battery, pharmaceutical, or similar).

Physical / Work Environment
  • Full-time assignment at an active construction project site.
  • Significant time spent in field environments supporting crews directly.
  • Requires walking, climbing, and working in outdoor conditions.
  • May require travel across different areas of the project site.
