Overview

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Configuration and Data Management professional with 3+ years of experience for an on-going Government contract. The position entails working closely with engineering and configuration management personnel managing data libraries and for the shipment, receipt, and distribution of product related materials.

Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 USD to $100,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Responsibilities

Configuration Manager
  • Product Support:
  • Through electronic access, use the project tools to coordinate tasking and priorities. Provide CDRL product documentation.
  • Laboratory Access:
    • Work will be onsite, and access will be furnished to program laboratories
  • Product Development Support:
  • Provide support for the development of current and future digital products and data systems software products, aircraft Systems Support libraries, digital products, and data systems: Support includes:

(1) configuration management,
  • Establish and document configuration management plan for product support with updates as required
  • Provide support for the development of current and future IPT/SSA products in support of processes used by the IPT
  • Ensure all products developed meet the acceptance criteria defined (if appropriate, in the backlog item), including full compliance with governance standards in use by Enterprise
  • Provide product development support documentation
  • Product Integrity:
  • Execute product integrity for products to include both software and hardware items in support of IPT processes
  • Identify and control deployments, both informal for test events and formal releases to the fleet
  • Participate in release management of the deployments
  • Integration and Deployment Support:
  • Provide support for integration and deployment of products as established by the IPT processes
  • Support offline and other classified integrations for test and fleet events
  • Support generation of deployment media and artifacts in support of test and fleet events
  • Support generation of related documentation in support of test and fleet events, including but not limited to installation instructions and troubleshooting guides
  • Provide integration and deployment documentation
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Technical Documentation Support:
  • Provide support for the development and management of technical documentation, as identified by IPT processes and procedures. Support includes:

(1) writing and editing technical documents to assure adherence to program and IPT specific processes

(2) conducts research and interviews SMEs to gather information for incorporation into technical documentation

(3) analyzes target audience to understand preferred communication methods and improve documentation clarity, and

(4) designs documentation to emphasize accuracy, clarity, conciseness, and tone.

Qualifications

  • Between 3- to 10-years' program experience as explained in the Functional description.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of program experience which must include aircraft systems configuration management.
  • Demonstrated program experience in the CMDM processes.
  • Knowledge of documentation and media configuration management.
  • Experience shipping & receiving documentation and media and providing relevant examples of previous work performed.
  • Specific experience with Navy data management processes and knowledge of DoD security classification marking procedures is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with aircraft and system avionics, subsystems, ancillary equipment, and ground support equipment development, testing, production, and operational use.


EDUCATION

BS or BA degree in a computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree.

CLEARANCE

Condition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. The applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

CITIZENSHIP

The applicant must have US citizenship at the time of application.
