Configuration Manager - Mid-Level Why This is an Exciting Role:BI&A is seeking a Mid-Level Configuration Management Specialist to establish, maintain, and oversee configuration and data management policies, procedures, and tools across our organization. This role is critical in ensuring standardized, cost-effective approaches to configuration management for both internally developed and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
Experience and Qualifications:To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:- 8 Years of experience in Configuration Management roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
- A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience.
Required Qualifications: - TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph
- Deep knowledge and understanding of software configuration management concepts, goals, benefits, and strategies
- Hands-on experience with standard commercial configuration management software products such as ClearCase, Subversion, JSMART, Razor, TeamWare, or similar configuration management tools
- Proficiency in automating unit and integration testing processes
- Strong understanding of build management and continuous integration practices
- Background in coordinating with development, engineering, and quality assurance teams
- Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work
Desired Qualifications: - Experience with modern DevOps tools and practices
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with cloud-based configuration management solutions
- Certification in configuration management or related disciplines
- Experience in regulated industries requiring strict configuration control
