About the Project:

The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometers farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.

Position Overview:

TRP has a current vacancy for a Configuration Management Specialist to join our Systems Team. They will be part of the Trillium Rail Partners Systems Team, working closely with our Systems team members, engineering disciplines and other project team members on the ECWE project, delivering Configuration and Asset Management deliverables to satisfy the Project Agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will apply Configuration Management processes to establish and maintain the consistency of system/subsystem performance, physical, and functional attributes through its lifecycle; to track, control and verify changes to prevent configuration drift causing costly safety and operational impact.

The main tasks include:
  • Outline the overall CM strategy guideline and process in accordance with Project Agreement.
  • Manage all project-related configuration items such as software versions and hardware to establish a CM baseline.
  • Support the implementation of the Configuration and Change Management processes on the project.
  • Review, approve and document all required modifications to prevent unauthorized changes and operational disruptions.
  • Regularly assesses the actual state of the environment against baseline documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide Configuration Management Report at each update of the Configuration Management Plan when needed.
  • Provide Project Configuration Status Accounting. Participate in Configuration Control Management Board (CCMB).
  • Keep a historical, tracked record of the system's state, past configurations, and ongoing changes.
