Overview

Bowhead seeks a Lead Configuration Management Analyst to support the Navy's Weapons Systems Munitions Integration and Hypersonics division.

The configuration management analyst will focus on configuration control, inventory, maintenance of the configuration database, and reporting of configuration status reporting for the Hypervelocity Gun Weapon System program.

In addition to configuration management the candidate will be a team lead to approximately six team members.

Responsibilities
• Establishes, implements, and maintains configuration management processes, procedures, and standards in accordance with organizational program requirements.
• Serves as the primary configuration management authority and subject-matter expert for assigned programs and projects.
• Develop and maintain program documents and standard operating procedures, program plans and briefings, execution reports, Technical Data Packages (TDPs), weekly and monthly status reports, other technical documents and reports, and a wide range of other Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) items.
• Leads the identification, control, documentation, and tracking of configuration items throughout the product or program lifecycle.
• Ensures approved configuration changes are properly documented, implemented, verified, and traceable to the applicable baseline.
• Identifies configuration management risks, deficiencies, and process improvements and develops corrective actions as required.
• Coordinates with engineering, program management, quality, logistics, and other functional organizations to resolve configuration issues and maintain configuration integrity.
• Develops and maintains configuration management metrics and reports to provide leadership with visibility into configuration status, change activity, compliance, and team performance.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and technical oversights to the team.
• Serves as the primary point of escalation for technical challenges and competing priorities.
• Mentors and develops team members, promotes knowledge sharing, and identifies opportunities for training and professional development.
• Coordinates with program leadership and functional manager to communicate team status, resource requirements, risk, and upcoming priorities.
• Supports staffing, onboarding, training, and workforce planning activities.
• Ensures the team maintains a culture of accountability, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Minimum of a HS Diploma
• Four (4) years of general experience which includes three (3) years specialized experience following and developing detailed procedures managing hardware, software, and system safety or equivalent CM experience.
• Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office Suite and web-based workflow tools and repositories.
• Experience in DoD programs a plus

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Targeted salary range is $120,000 to $130,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
