The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $68,773-$95,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule

This position will follow a hybrid schedule with in-person days reporting to Denver International Airport.

The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least three days a week, and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days. This policy is subject to change based on the needs of DEN operations.

We are currently seeking a Concessions Administration and Program Manager to join our team!

 

This Role will lead business operations administration - specifically in support of the SVP of Concessions - through championing oversight of expenditure contracts, office management, budget/program management, lead outreach and grand opening events, manage CORA requests, media, press release, and customer feedback inquiries, development and administration of SOPs, various existing and new pilot program initiatives, and lead workflow & process management (amongst other duties) within the Concessions division.

 

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

Business Operations Administration

  • Serves as office manager for department
  • Serves as support role for SVP of Concessions
  • Manages and administers expenditure contracts.
  • Serves as liaison between airport divisions, concessionaires, tenants, consultants, contractors, city agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains administrative processes, procedures, and operational workflows.
  • Assists management with strategic initiatives, special projects, operational planning, and process improvement efforts.
  • Maintains records, databases, dashboards, and information management systems.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, executive summaries, correspondence, and briefing materials for management.
  • Coordinates meetings, stakeholder engagement activities, and follow-up actions.
  • Assists with budget tracking, procurement coordination, invoice processing, and operational documentation.

 

Contract Administration

  • Administers concession agreements, permits, lease agreements, licenses, and related contractual documents.
  • Monitors concessionaire compliance with contract requirements, operating standards, insurance requirements, reporting obligations, and performance metrics.
  • Tracks contract milestones, critical deadlines, amendments, renewals, expirations, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
  • Reviews concessionaire submissions for completeness and adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Coordinates contract execution, amendments, assignments, terminations, and related administrative actions.
  • Conducts compliance reviews and operational audits of concession agreements and supporting documentation.
  • Investigates and resolves contract-related issues and compliance concerns.
  • Assists in preparing notices, corrective action communications, contract correspondence, and compliance reports.
  • Collaborates with legal, finance, risk management, procurement, project management, airport operations, and concession stakeholders regarding contract requirements.
  • Supports concession development projects, pre-opening activities, turnover coordination, and operational readiness efforts.
  • Maintains electronic contract files and records in accordance with records retention requirements.

 

Additional DEN Concessions-Specific Duties

  • Creates Purchase Requisitions and Orders.
  • Manages tenant events including quarterly town hall and outreach events.
  • Coordinates tenant communication regarding operational requirements, badging, construction impacts, and airport initiatives.
  • Assists in preparation of reports and presentations for executive leadership, City Council, and industry benchmarking efforts.

Denver International Airport's Concessions Division is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional to provide senior leadership-level administrative support, coordinate strategic initiatives, and support special projects across the Concessions program. This position serves as a trusted partner to division leadership while developing expertise in contract administration, concessions operations, stakeholder engagement, and business processes.

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

 

  • Proven ability to support senior leadership in a fast-paced, highly visible environment while maintaining professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong project coordination skills with experience leading special projects, organizing high-profile events, and managing deliverables across multiple departments and external partners.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with executive leadership, tenants, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and business partners.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration and serving as a liaison between diverse stakeholder groups to achieve organizational objectives.

 

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
