Full Job Description
Computer Network Defense Analyst to deliver proactive cybersecurity monitoring and incident response support for the CAOC-X environment. The chosen candidate will be vital in safeguarding the security framework of DoD systems by identifying, analyzing, and addressing cyber threats and vulnerabilities across a variety of classified and unclassified networks.

Requirements
  • Monitor and analyze information systems and network activity to detect cyber events, incidents, and potential threats.
  • Assist with integrated cyber defense operations, including real-time threat detection, response, and containment.
  • Support the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of security tools that enable continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization.
  • Establish frameworks to assess and quantify cyber risks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct incident response investigations, document findings, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs for CAOC-X personnel.
  • Maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) status in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle.
  • Apply security lockdowns and hardening measures on CAOC-X systems in alignment with JTF-GNO and SPO directives.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity efforts with the 10th Intelligence Squadron (10IS) for JWICS-connected systems.

Technical Expertise Required:
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools such as ACAS and ESS/HBSS
  • Familiarity with SPLUNK for security information and event management (SIEM)
  • Understanding of Cisco IOS/NX-OS network devices and configurations
  • Strong understanding of cyber defense principles and incident response techniques


Clearance: TS/SCI

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience; or 5 to 7 years of pertinent experience in place of a degree.
