SUMMARY The Chief Engineer focuses on program technical, mentorship & guidance for other engineers, and supporting company growth and direction. This role is responsible for overseeing and guiding the design and development process to ensure overall technical success of the program. The Chief Engineer plays a key role in determining strategic technologies and capturing associated programs.

WHAT YOU WILL DOProgrammatic
- Responsible for ensuring program technical excellence is commensurate with program scope, customer expectations and company interest
- Through program gate reviews, oversee technical aspects of projects ensuring appropriate design, analysis and testing is conducted
- Review designs for cost, manufacturing, and quality assurance
- Provide customer facing technical leadership and guidance
Engineering Operational
- Provide guidance, mentorship and leadership to all levels of engineers
- Influence company engineering design standards and guidelines
Business Development
- Based upon industry needs, identify and develop new technologies
- Support proposal concept development, ensure technical compliance and identify technical risks
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, and design structures and mechanical systems in accordance with customer requirements and aerospace/DoD standards
- Knowledge of industry tools/software relevant to mechanical systems design
- Detailed knowledge of design based military and commercial specifications
- Minimum of10years technical experience, Minimum of 5 years with composite products
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical field
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must hold OR be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
