YOUR ROLE Drive best value components into Versigent Americas product designs
RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze bill of material and work with cross functional team to identify and quantify component value opportunities
- Work as liaison between OEM and supply base to get components fully validated and approved for usage
- Work across internal cross functional team to rapidly implement best cost component opportunities
- Support purchasing team in component strategy development
- Lead engineering evaluation of new components including robustness and total system cost
- Work with Global teams to ensure sharing of opportunities for best value components
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor or Degree required, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical)
- Experience (2+ years) in Product Engineering or Technical Sales
- Must have experience working with connectors / terminals or wire harnesses
- Experience working directly with OEM for part approvals preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to create presentations
- Experience working directly with clients (face to face)
- Ability to travel - mostly local
