Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Associate, Full Stack Software Engineer in Strategic Data Analytics within  Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR), you will build the applications, interfaces, and services that compliance users rely on every day to review alerts, insights, workflows, and actions. You will own solutions end to end, from the user interface and dashboards through the backend APIs, integrations, testing, deployment, and production support.

You as an engineer who cares about how software feels to use as much as how it is built, who picks up unfamiliar tools without being told to, and who owns a production incident rather than routing it elsewhere. You should be comfortable moving between a user workflow, an API contract, a code review, and a defect, explaining technical tradeoffs to engineers and business partners, and exercising sound judgment with minimal oversight.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and build responsive frontend interfaces and dashboards that make alerts, insights, workflows, and actions clear and efficient for compliance users, adapting to evolving priorities, tools, and regulatory/business requirements while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs that integrate applications with enterprise data, workflow platforms, dashboards, and approved AI services, including data movement/inventory reporting needs and SQL-driven validation/transformations across multiple systems.
  • Establish and improve DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review, and monitoring, so solutions move from proof of concept to something the team can run and support in production, with strong operational ownership to monitor platform performance, address gaps, and drive timely remediation.
  • Automate manual compliance and operational workflows to reduce effort, improve consistency, and provide clear status and exception handling, including automated workflows supporting inventory management, data movement, and process optimization across multiple.
  • Integrate approved LLM APIs and Fusion products into applications where they deliver measurable value to users and processes, while proactively learning new technologies, business processes, and domain concepts to drive continuous improvement.
  • Apply secure development, authentication, authorization, auditability, and data protection standards throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring changes align with compliance controls and documented end-to-end workflows.
  • Monitor application health and performance, investigate defects and incidents, and drive timely remediation so the same problem does not come back, including monitoring programs/platform performance and ensuring issue remediation is tracked to closure.
  • Lead technical design discussions for assigned capabilities, provide thoughtful code reviews, and help raise engineering standards across the team, partnering with business stakeholders/product/cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable user stories, and document/analyze end-to-end processes to identify inefficiencies and control gaps.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering and supporting production applications.
  • Proven frontend development experience building UIs or dashboards with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React or Angular.
  • Demonstrated backend development experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and services in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, observability, and production support practices.
  • Experience automating workflows and integrating systems to eliminate manual processing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational data structures, authentication, authorization, audit logging, and secure development practices.
  • Experience making practical architecture decisions that balance delivery speed, security, maintainability, and user needs.
  • Experience diagnosing production issues across the application stack and communicating impact and remediation clearly.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience integrating LLM APIs or GenAI services into production applications used by the business.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerized deployment, infrastructure as code, or enterprise application hosting and monitoring.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
  • Financial crimes compliance, AML, risk, controls, or other technology experience in a regulated industry.
