Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Officer manages the compliance and privacy program in the officer's assigned service area, and works collaboratively with leadership, staff and other compliance officers and auditors to proactively consult and educate on relevant laws and regulations in an effort to prevent the incidence of fraud, waste, abuse or other violations of government health care program integrity. When gaps are identified, the officer works with responsible parties to create corrective actions plans that will ensure compliance going forward. Assigned service area may include Ministry Services, Home Care, OSF Medical Group, OnCall, Innovation or the OSF Regions or other OSF operating unit. The Compliance Officer serves as the Privacy Officer for their assigned area.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Master's Degree

Experience:

5 years' experience in Compliance, Audit, Healthcare, or Business

Other skills/knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years of experience in privacy.
  • Experience in investigations and OCR reporting.
  • Experience with Navex, 360 Privacy or similar software.

Certification in Compliance, Privacy or Audit
