Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and Compliance and Risk analyst to join the Enterprise Compliance Data and Analytics Team as a Business Analyst. In this role, you will analyze new and evolving regulatory and corporate compliance requirements and spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of compliance technology solutions. You will serve as the critical liaison between frontline business units, legal/compliance teams, and data and analytics team. You will work to ensure requests and requirements are defined, specific, aligned with strategy, actionable, and translatable to practical data / analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirement Elicitation & Documentation: Translate complex regulatory language (including specific regulations) into clear, actionable business rules, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Process Mapping & Optimization: Analyze current compliance workflows, identify gaps in system capabilities, and design automated processes to reduce human error and increase consistency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate requirements sessions, sprint planning, and cross-functional reviews to ensure IT teams understand compliance and risk mitigation requirements.
  • System Implementation: Assist in testing and implementing compliance y platforms, such as Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools, automated auditing software, and reporting dashboards.
  • Audit Readiness & Testing: Manage regulatory testing and coordinate with control owners to implement and validate controls for access management, release management, and data protection.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Design automated compliance monitoring reports and build dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to risk management.
  • Familiarity with: Control design and testing, enterprise / compliance risk frameworks, control design and assessment, assessment of risk and control environments, understanding of control and quality assurance routines, regulatory requirements and initiative management, governance routines and protocols


Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

- 5+ years of business analysis experience, specifically focusing on regulatory, compliance, or IT risk initiatives.

- Solid understanding of financial markets, banking operations, risk management, or relevant industry regulatory frameworks (e.g., FINRA rules, SEC regulations, OCC / FRB frameworks, or data privacy laws).

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to unpack difficult operational problems and propose scalable, technology-driven solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate and manage relationships between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
