JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Payroll and Compensation Analyst

Location: Burbank, CA (hybrid)

Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000

JOB SUMMARY
  • Compensation Analysis: Participate in salary surveys, analyze market trends, and benchmark jobs internally and externally to determine competitive pay.
  • Merit Increase: Assist with merit increase process; develop input sheets.
  • Data Analysis & Compliance: Conduct equity analyses to ensure pay fairness and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Cleaning and analyzing data from ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), payroll, and employee surveys to identify patterns in turnover, hiring, and performance.
  • Metric Development: Developing HR dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and visualizations to track workforce metrics.
  • Strategic Insights: Providing insights for HR leaders on recruitment effectiveness, employee engagement, and potential risks.
  • Process Improvement: Using findings to recommend optimizations for recruiting, training, and talent management.
  • Payroll Processing: Processes payroll on regular cycles (bi-weekly) including calculating wages, overtime, and deductions. Benefits billing reconciliation and processing bank wires.
  • Compliance & Tax: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and prepares year-end filings.
  • Reporting: Prepares payroll reports for finance and HR and assists with audits.


Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, human resources, accounting, or a related field is typically required.
