This position will be responsible for the demonstration and retail sales and rentals of all Compact and Utility products in the assigned territory. The incumbent in this position must be organized, a self-starter, values relationships and an effective communicator that will create consistent and clear channels of communication with all department staff, customers, vendors, and management.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities- Responsible for equipment sales and rentals for compact and utility product line.
- Active participation in local industry associations.
- Provide and generate sales and service leads in a timely fashion.
- Building on existing and foster new customer relationships to increase machine sales, rentals, and parts sales.
- Preparation of weekly sales forecasts and/or submits weekly call reports.
- Maintaining application and product expertise relative to product and customer base.
- Completion of competitive business reports as required.
- Develop targeted marketing programs in-conjunction with the sales manager and marketing team as required.
- Requires close working relationships with product support personnel and sales and rental coordinator.
- Responsible to forward competitive product information, pricing, and industry changes to the Volvo Regional Team
- Attend OEM and company training, as well as industry trade shows and industry events as required.
- Utilize the company CRM and other tools to effectively carry out his/hers responsibilities. This includes record of all calls, quotes, visits, and sales to ensure all customer data is accurate. Ensure lost sales are properly reflected in the CRM.
- Assist with accounts receivable collections when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Professional Qualifications Required for the Position:- 3-4 years of strong sales experience with construction industry products and knowledge in various types of construction & utility applications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience in service, parts, or product support operations.
- Knowledge of experience in distribution-based business (preferably in the Construction Equipment Industry).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Important Requirements:- Fluent in English (written & spoken).
- Travel required as necessary within the VCES-CA territory.
- Works with others in a team / office environment.
- Must have strong human relations skills and the ability to work with people from all backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with appropriate influence and ability to resolve complex business issues.
- Able to perform duties effectively in a fast-paced environment whether working autonomously or under direction.
- Able to make autonomous decisions based on business situations within the scope of the established authorization directives.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company's growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $100,000 - $150,000 (base plus commission) and other benefits, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
