Full Job Description
The Community Engagement Lead serves as CenterWell's primary ambassador and community relationship leader within The Villages. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing a comprehensive community engagement strategy that increases CenterWell's visibility, expands community partnerships, strengthens relationships with local stakeholders, and establishes CenterWell as a trusted leader in senior-focused healthcare. The Community Engagement Lead will identify opportunities to engage residents through health education programs, wellness initiatives, community partnerships, sponsorships, and local events that support healthy aging and improve awareness of CenterWell's care model and services. Working closely with market leadership, clinicians, growth teams, and community organizations, this individual will develop and implement programs that create meaningful connections within the community while supporting CenterWell's growth objectives. In addition, this role will partner with physician recruitment efforts by serving as a local community ambassador for provider candidates considering opportunities within The Villages market. Through their knowledge of the community and established local relationships, the Community Engagement Lead will help showcase the unique advantages of living and practicing in The Villages and support the attraction of high-quality physicians to the market. The ideal candidate has a strong presence within The Villages, deep knowledge of the community, established physician and community relationships, and demonstrated success developing strategic partnerships and engagement programs. Use your skills to make an impact Key Responsibilities Community Engagement Strategy & Development (75%) Strategic Planning & Program Development Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with CenterWell's market, growth, and patient engagement objectives. Identify opportunities to expand CenterWell's presence and influence throughout The Villages and surrounding communities. Assess community needs, resident interests, and market trends to develop innovative engagement programs and educational initiatives. Create and manage an annual community engagement plan that includes partnerships, sponsorships, educational programs, wellness initiatives, and community events. Establish measurable goals and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of community engagement activities. Community Relationship Leadership Serve as CenterWell's primary representative within The Villages community. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, resident organizations, clubs, civic groups, healthcare stakeholders, local businesses, and other key influencers. Develop strategic partnerships that support community health, healthy aging, and CenterWell's market objectives. Create a network of community advocates who help strengthen CenterWell's reputation and visibility. Health Education & Community Programs Design, coordinate, and facilitate educational programs focused on healthy aging, preventive care, chronic disease management, wellness, and healthcare navigation. Partner with CenterWell clinicians and care teams to deliver meaningful health education opportunities for residents. Identify innovative ways to engage residents through seminars, workshops, screenings, and wellness-focused events. Ensure community programming reflects the interests and needs of The Villages population. Market Visibility & Community Presence Lead CenterWell's participation in community events, health fairs, sponsorships, and local activities. Create opportunities to increase awareness of CenterWell's services, physicians, and value-based care model. Represent CenterWell in public forums and community settings with professionalism and credibility. Strengthen CenterWell's reputation as a trusted healthcare partner within the community. Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Monitor community engagement performance, participation, and partnership effectiveness. Analyze results and recommend improvements to maximize impact and return on investment. Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to market leadership. Physician Recruitment Partnership (25%) Community Ambassador for Physician Recruitment Partner with physician recruitment and market leadership teams to support provider recruitment efforts in The Villages market. Showcase the lifestyle, culture, amenities, and healthcare environment that make The Villages an attractive community for physicians and their families. Facilitate introductions and connections with key community leaders, healthcare professionals, and local stakeholders. Support physician candidate visits and community immersion experiences. Help newly recruited physicians establish community connections and integrate into the local market. Physician & Healthcare Relationship Development Develop and maintain relationships with local physicians, healthcare organizations, and medical community leaders. Serve as a resource regarding community demographics, healthcare trends, and local market opportunities. Assist market leadership in strengthening CenterWell's reputation within the local healthcare community. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Five or more years of experience in community engagement, business development, healthcare outreach, physician relations, marketing, or partnership development. Demonstrated experience developing and leading strategic community initiatives and programs. Strong project management, communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills. Proven ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders. Established presence and professional network within The Villages community. Experience working with physicians, healthcare leaders, or healthcare organizations. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare, Medicare Advantage, senior healthcare, or primary care experience. Existing relationships with community leaders, resident organizations, physicians, and healthcare stakeholders within The Villages. Experience supporting physician recruitment, provider relations, or healthcare business development initiatives. Knowledge of senior-focused health and wellness programming. Ideal Candidate A highly connected community leader with deep roots in The Villages who can build a long-term strategy for community engagement while serving as a trusted ambassador for CenterWell. This individual is equally comfortable developing partnerships with influential community organizations, creating innovative health education programs, representing CenterWell at major community events, and helping attract exceptional physicians to one of the nation's most unique retirement communities. This version feels much closer to a Humana/CenterWell Program Lead-level position because it emphasizes strategy development, partnership creation, measurable outcomes, and influence, rather than simply coordinating events. #LI-RA1 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $115,200 - $158,400 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
