Communications Technical LeadMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Communications Technical Lead to join our team in
Norfolk, Virginia. This is an
onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Supporting team members and managing required RF and communication equipment integration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Providing technical oversight to the sustainment of HF, UHF, SATCOM, radio communications suites, and associated network and cryptographic equipment across the NCTE enterprise.
- Conducting preventative maintenance, routine performance assessments, and troubleshooting of electronic systems using specialized test equipment.
- Collaborating with internal and external engineers to design, build, and test RF and communication solutions to enhance efficiency and redundancy.
- Providing technical oversight of field operations at customer sites, shore sites, and on naval vessels.
- Traveling CONUS/OCONUS as needed up to 30% to support system deployments and site activities.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of professional communications experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with HF/VHF/UHF and satellite communications installation and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience with RF planning, design, baselines, basic electronic principles, and RF test equipment.
- Experience with RF site design, including power distribution, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), lightning protection, and tower assessments.
- Knowledgeable of networking equipment, IP networking protocols, and sub-netting.
Preferred Qualifications:- Proficient in managing cryptographic equipment and utilizing Data Transfer Devices (DTDs) for keying data.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling, simulation, and mission planning tools (NRL builder program), as well as RF test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
- Hands-on experience utilizing JIRA and Confluence for workflow tracking.
Clearance Requirements:- Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible to obtain a CAC card.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders as required for installations.
- Must be able to position oneself to install communications systems, server racks, or run transmission lines as required.
The projected compensation range for this position is $89,100.00-$148,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
