Job Summary and Requirements

This is a until -filled competition. Candidates are encouraged not to delay submitting their application as this posting can close at any time after 10 business days with 24-hour posted notice. This posting will be used to fill 1 term full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly ending November 27, 2026.

As a member of the EMR Communications team, you will work closely with department branches to develop public communications that effectively reach Yukoners.

As a Communications Analyst, you will develop products such as news releases, speeches, online content, media responses, and marketing campaigns. You will also provide media relations, develop and implement communication strategies, and support internal department communications. Through your work, you support our commitment to a transparent, accountable, and citizen-focused government.

  • Experience in media relations and/or public engagement
  • Experience working in the field of resource management may be considered an asset

  • Awareness of political sensitivity and the ability to deal with complex, strategic issues, heavy workloads and multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of web-based communications platforms

Job Requirements

Occasional travel may be required. Working evenings and weekends may be required at times.
