Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Commodity Manager to lead sourcing initiatives across key raw materials, components, and finished goods categories. This role is responsible for developing and executing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, monitoring market trends, and delivering cost, quality, and supply chain improvements that support SuperATV's continued growth.

The Commodity Manager will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, New Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure a reliable and competitive supply base while supporting aggressive product launch timelines. This position requires strong negotiation skills, market analysis capabilities, supplier development experience, and a deep understanding of global supply chains.

Domestic and international travel up to 10% may be required.

Primary Duties

Commodity Strategy & Market Intelligence
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, raw materials, components, and finished goods categories.
  • Monitor commodity markets, indexes, pricing trends, tariffs, material costs, and supply chain risks.
  • Analyze aluminum, steel, plastics, electronic components, and other key commodity markets to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Provide leadership with regular market intelligence updates and strategic recommendations.


Supplier Management & Development
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop domestic and international suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and corrective action initiatives.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality and business requirements.


Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations
  • Lead sourcing activities supporting New Product Development, engineering changes, and production requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, inventory agreements, and long-term supply arrangements.
  • Drive year-over-year cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service expectations.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and material shortages.


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to support product development and sourcing decisions.
  • Evaluate material alternatives and supplier capabilities to improve product performance, manufacturability, and profitability.
  • Support product launches through timely supplier selection and sourcing activities.


Business Impact & Continuous Improvement
  • Implement sourcing strategies that improve inventory performance, cost competitiveness, and supplier reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to organizational growth and operational excellence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, project management, or engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supplier negotiations and supplier development initiatives.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems, be resourceful, and adapt to an ever-changing business environment.
  • This position will manage multiple projects simultaneously and report to the team via phone, Teams, Zoom, and other communication channels.
  • Candidates must have excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience sourcing metals, fabricated components, machined parts, electronics, plastics, or finished goods.
    • Experience with aluminum and steel markets, commodity indexes, and cost modeling.
    • Experience within manufacturing, automotive, power sports, industrial products, or consumer products industries.
    • Knowledge of global sourcing, international trade, tariffs, and import/export practices.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.This role is also eligible for a bonus.
