Responsibilities

  • Facilitate customer acceptance of completed projects
  • Generate project completion reports post-commissioning

Job Description:

1. Prepare and maintain project file/dossier for each project, and monitor assigned project while in the build process and through completion of startup.

2. Work with all departments to get each project commissioned in an effective and timely manner. Ensure on-site commissioning follows established procedures.

3.Follow up on back ordered parts, and file records in an organized manner.

4.Maintain records of costs and other pertinent data for each project.

5.Ensure all project requirements are met.

6.Ensure customer acceptance of project.

7.Close project reports when commissioning is complete.

8.Pass work files to Customer Services (CSC) when punch list is finished.

9.Investigate the need for and recommend designs of new tooling to support new projects.

10.Develop commissioning procedures to be included in Commissioning Manuals when necessary.

11. Support Project Managers to get Engine configuration and be responsible to order the Engine to DeSoto Overhaul facility.

Knowledge and Skills:
1) Solar Turbines Packages systems (fuel, start, lube oil, seal, etc).  or equivalent to any type of turbomachinery products available in the market.
2) Understanding and reading Solar package drawings (electrical, mechanical, etc). or equivalent to any type of turbomachinery products available in the market.
3) Commissioning activities/tasks  support- experience., related to Turbomachinery products.
4) Technical knowledge and admin skills to build a commissioning dossier.
5) Trouble shooting experience or equivalent abilities to find solution to support field commissioning activities.
6) Microsoft.
7) Able to define priorities and multitask (technical and admin).

Desire:
Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Must:
Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.


 

Summary Pay Range:

$112,704.00 - $169,056.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
