Position Summary
Leads the commercial management and business development activities for a portfolio of crude oil terminals. Responsible for maximizing asset utilization, EBITDA generation, and customer retention through commercial strategy, contract negotiations, market analysis, and coordination with operations, scheduling, and engineering teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to maximize utilization, revenue generation, and profitability across crude oil terminals and storage assets.
- Manage key customer relationships with refiners, producers, marketers, traders, and pipeline companies.
- Negotiate terminaling, storage, throughput, blending, and ancillary service agreements.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities that generate incremental EBITDA.
- Monitor crude oil market fundamentals, refinery utilization, storage economics, and competitive dynamics.
- Develop economic analyses and financial models supporting commercial opportunities and capital projects.
- Partner with Operations, Scheduling, Engineering, and Project Management teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Evaluate terminal utilization and inventory trends to optimize asset performance and returns.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities for terminal commercial operations.
- Collaborate with Trading and Marketing organizations to identify storage, blending, and logistics opportunities.
- Support capital project development by quantifying commercial benefits and customer demand.
- Prepare and present commercial performance updates and market outlooks to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant crude oil logistics, terminaling, marketing, trading, or commercial experience.
- Strong understanding of crude oil markets, storage economics, pipeline transportation, and refinery operations.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing customer relationships.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, communication, and leadership skills.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
